'Fried' is about feeling, well... 'fried'. The 2020's version of full blown existential burnout we all suffer from, be it financial and climate instability or mad preseidents in the White House.
11 (mostly) instrumental tracks with the heady whift of Radiohead, Super Furry Animals, Four Tet, Brian Eno, Boards of Canada, Berlin period U2 and much, much more.

‘Fried’ was recorded on and off between February and June 2026 in Maidenhead, UK using one laptop, Apple Logic, a pile of plugins and some steel strings. No AI was used apart from a little at mastering stage - certainly not for the creative stuff.
Some burgers were consumed during this period.

And so we’re at the end. What started as a one-off ‘EP’ has turned into a three-release album. Like a new Star Wars trilogy without the filler bits.
All the downtempo thrills remain, but this time with a new angle.
“I wanted to do ‘lush” said ASMC lead composer, Graeme Worsfold “I’d produced a number of different tracks for this one, but I really wanted to lean into the shiny, the big synths of the 80’s right through to the end of the 90’s. So, on this one I went less horns and dry drums and dialled up the Solina’s, the Moogs and the Junos”
“Style-wise, we’re still in the glitchy pockets of Boards of Canada and Autechre, but I inadvertently dived off to visit late 80’s Bryan Ferry/Roxy sophisti-pop with ‘Eva’ then back on track for an experiment in Moon Safari sound reconstruction with ‘Kite Rocket Whatever’.
It feels like with Vol. 3 – and with a full album’s length of work – that we’ve closed the first Ambient Soul Music Club chapter: really nailing our style, influences and vibe, ready for the next step”
Vol 3 is the third Metalabel release from Graeme Worsfold following the platform success of the first two volumes. It includes four instrumental tracks created from the collision of ambient and soul music recorded during the spring of 2024/25 in rural Maidenhead, Berkshire in the UK.
This third Digital Drop of the Four Track series follows the formula of Vol. 1 and 2 by including four videos produced to support each piece. This is an initial run of 100 downloads. Demand dependent, a full vinyl Drop will follow.

“I knew I wanted to push it forward. Make it more unusual. Vol. 1 was me making my mark - a statement. This time, I wanted to continue the vibe of the first release but push into different areas of song structure and explore new sonics and sounds. It’s got all the Ambient Soul attributes in there - the horns, the laid-back beats, the simple, wobbly guitars - but there’s even more esoteric electronics, wonky drum machines and retro broken sci-fi synths.”

Four Track Originals Vol. 1
"I started out on a four-track cassette recorder. It was pretty limited and a bit noisy, but it allowed me to get ideas down before I went into a bigger studio. Nowadays, I've got a multitrack recorder on my laptop (and my toothbrush), but I still seem to compose and record with that four-track ethic in my head - until I go mad and start layering! This first EP is a nod to that four-track mentality - and it's that mix of old and new that Ambient Soul is all about, so it seems perfect to kick things off."
