Ambient Soul is something new that feels like it’s always been there. It’s a sonic adventure. Two worlds colliding. The quiet hum of a synthesizer providing the ambient textures and the warmth of a deep, resonating bass pulse representing the soul. Music that sits between otherworldly and down to earth.

We hug modernity, but we cuddle the past: Ambient Soul balances innovation and heritage, cutting-edge and classic. Samples and found sounds mashed up with live instruments, and electronic textures merged with soulful rhythms. Upcycling found a musical home.

So, if you hear something that sounds new and unusual, yet well-known in a coffee shop, or walk to work but can’t quite place it, then you’re probably listening to Ambient Soul.

We believe in the power of our music. To connect, uplift, and transform. As creators, our goal is to make the listener feel, and feel better – be it by making a real-life experience more helpful and profound or providing enjoyment or surprise from these new combos of culture in the many soundtracks of your everyday.

Ambient Soul is not just music for consumption; it’s music to be experienced, to be lived with – earbuds off, IRL.

At the foundation of Ambient Soul lie the four pillars that guide our creative choices. While these are designed for music, they apply to any creative or stylistic choices made by contributors in the Ambient Soul Music Club community, helping guide their way and keep it honest and true.

So let’s get comfortable with the unusual.

Grit: This is the raw, unfiltered edge of Ambient Soul. It’s the textured soundscapes, the analogue warmth, and the subtle imperfections that make the music feel real and lived-in. It’s embracing the rough edges, the detuned melodies, the overloaded desk and the tape hiss that adds a layer of authenticity to the sound.

Glitch: Ambient Soul thrives on experimentation. It’s where irregular, glitchy beats using unconventional sound sources meet fragmented rhythms, creating a sense of unpredictability and innovation whilst locking into a groove keeping the listener engaged and interested.

Groove: At the heart of Ambient Soul is a deep, subtle groove. It’s the rhythm that keeps you anchored, the beat that moves you, even if it’s understated. This groove is what ties the ambient and soul elements together, giving the music its pulse and drive.

Glow: And then there’s the glow – that warm, enveloping atmosphere that surrounds you as you listen. It’s the lush creaky synths, the reverb-drenched strings and horn, and the expansive pads that create a sense of space and depth. The glow is what makes Ambient Soul feel both intimate and otherworldly, inviting you to lose yourself in its soundscapes.

We’re tired of following handed-down trends from the 1% tech-bro boardrooms – be it music, culture or lifestyle - so we’re making them on our own terms. From creatives collaborating in fresh ways using the Music Club platform – to innovative brands finding new paths to true, undiscovered creators, to fans having direct influence and involvement in the process, it’s a shift from the usual.

Our little rebellion lies in these subtle shifts, creating music, culture and experiences that stand apart, sound that refuses to conform to the trends and likes provided by algorithms, but instead – in its own quiet, unusual way - offers a deeper, more meaningful experience for everyone involved.

We reject the idea of passive consumption. Ambient Soul is a movement for receptive, active participation. Creatives, collaborators, brands and fans coming together to shape a genre. With the Ambient Soul Music Club, our community is uniquely involved in the creative process.

They say a song, once released, is owned by its audience, but let’s go one step further and let that audience in first. Because whilst a single spark of genius creativity can change the world - and a fresh new surprise song is a gift - we believe, like the best gig or festival, that the audience makes the show. Fans with ownership, have belonging and some skin in the game. They’re one of the band.

So, you might be a musician, composer, writer, photographer or filmmaker joining to support and influence a project – gaining new fans and revenue streams along the way - or a fan voting on track pairings or contributing ideas for new soundscapes: it doesn’t matter - voices matter, and voices make movements.

Music and creativity for both traditional and unconventional spaces: From rooftops to parks, from virtual galleries to unexpected street corners, its music brought to places where sound is not just heard, but felt. We believe that sound can, and should exist outside the ordinary venues or platforms, transforming everyday spaces into innovative stages for sonic adventure.

After years of digital overload and global uncertainty, people want new communal experiences and connections on and offline, with a mix of the comforting and the challenging wrapped up together. Don’t worry - tickets are still available.

In a time where everything runs at warp speed, Ambient Soul (and its Music Club community) is a long-term, slow-living play.

We value creative sustainability – a collaborative model where creators and the whole movement are kept fresh by new ideas and input from outside sources, financial sustainability – where membership and licensing provide space to create without worry, and social sustainability – with an inclusive mindset and a goal of boosting mental well-being for creators and audiences alike, feeding our creative back into education and potential contributors and opportunities.

And don’t forget the environment – real-life items are produced to be reusable or recyclable, or preferably built for a lifetime while digital items are created and stored with renewable energy.
